In 1995 our architect recommended we invite QCL to tender for a new garage we wanted built at our home in Wadestown. That recommendation proved to be the start of a nearly 30-year relationship involving a mix of large and small projects. Over that period I have dealt with 3 generations of the family – Ash, Nick and Rhys. I’ve always been impressed with the quality of their workmanship, attention to details, and the quality of the people on their staff. Over the years I’ve seen the team go from strength to strength. I think the current team is the best yet. I am also the Treasurer and a member of the Vestry at St Luke’s Anglican Church in Wadestown. I’m currently the project leader for a significant piece of work to improve the seismic strength of the church building from 43% toward 67% NBS. QCL won the tender for this work and started on site last month. Their team is enjoying working in the church and is very respectful of the building’s heritage, and the needs of both our parishioners and neighbours. It is evident they have very good working relationships with their sub-contractors.

Even though I have dealt with QCL before, I’ve been particularly impressed with several aspects of the approach taken to the St Luke’s project: the way the whole team is briefed and understands what is going on; the proactive way that Rhys engages me and our consulting engineer on practical issues with the drawings; and his innate ability to keep momentum on the project, even in the face of delays outside his control. For all the reasons above I fully commend Quayle Construction Co Ltd to anyone who values quality construction work done by a committed and engaged team that is good to deal with.
